OVERVIEW
The School of Film and Media Studies is a subscidiary of Supreme International College. The school seeks to give potential students an opportunity to realize their dreams in the area of film and media. We see great career potentials in this area thus our quest to deliver world class tutorials and training.
School of Film
The school Focuses on the history, theory, criticism, and production of cinema and other moving-image media. The course examines cinema and the broader landscape of audiovisual media as significant modern art forms, and the contributions of moving-image media as cultural and communicative practices of enduring social significance. Focus is placed on international movie standards and the local movie Market.
School of Media Studies
The media school focuses and on offering students a liberal arts based program in media analysis and media production. Combining theory and practice, students learn how to analyze, review, and critique media texts and institutions and how to create, share, and collaborate using various forms of media. This program of study, provides students with dynamic opportunities to study and create media. This program is designed to accommodate working students and enables you the flexibility to study full-time or part-time, on our very study friendly campus.

- One Year Professional Diploma in Journalism & Media Studies
The Professioanl Diploma Programme is a combination of selected subjects that will give students a well balanced knowledge in the field of journalism and media studies. The Diploma in Journalism and Media Studies will teach you how to gather and analyse information from various different sources and produce stories for different mediums. You will also learn the art of design and explore layout, editing, and publication management. Program subject outline inludes:

- One Year Professional Diploma in Film Making
This one year academic diploma in film offers an intensive, behind-the-scenes education across all areas of filmmaking. You'll experience every phase of pre-production, production and post production, writing and analyzing screenplays, developing storyboards, creating shot lists and preparing budgets and schedules. Program outline inludes;

GENERAL INFORMATION
Duration
The duration of professional diploma programmes is One (1) year intensive two
(2) semesters) for all sessions. Duration
for Trainining Courses is six (6) months.
Sessions
Morning, Evening and Weekend for professional diploma programmes. Please note that, sessions for training programs are restricted to weekends only
Tuition Fee And Payment Options (Professional Diploma)
Tuition fee for the entire duration of the professional diploma programme is GHȼ1,200.00. Students who wish to pay in installment will either have to pay 60% of the fee and settle the balance within one month period OR pay GHȼ750 per semester.(X2).
Tuition Fee And Payment Options (Training Programs)
Tution fee for training program is Ghc800.00. You can Pay in full before you start or you can pay 70% of the fee and settle the balance within two months.
Eligibility (Professional Diploma)
The Film & Media Studies program is available to Candidates who have obtained passes at the GCE 'O' Level/SSSCE/WASSCE/GBCE or its equivalent qualification. Candidate with weak passes will be required to undergo 3 month access courses, entrance examination or admission interview. Candidates who do not have the above qualification but 21 years or above with one year work experience would be considered based on accessment and recommendation. Individuals with communications studies background are also eligible to apply. If your first language is not English, you may need to provide evidence of your English language ability.

Our training programs are opened to all Ghanaians with a passion to have a career in the area of film and media studies. Once you can read and write, the future is bright.
Selection Process
When considering your application, we will look for evidence that you will be able to fulfil the objectives of the course and achieve the standards required. We will take into account a range of factors including previous exam results especially for Diploma applicants. Applicants are not normally interviewed but If you receive an offer letter you will be invited to visit the school.
